What Happened at the 2025 Crystal Key Members Meeting?
The pleasant atmosphere of the 2024 Members Meeting was gone in a blink as the Members Meeting was called and I tried to get a reschedule to December 18th to assure proper election of Board Members. Having no information from the Nominating Committee, I tried to Inquire about any vacancies being filled but was told that information from the Nominating Committee was only for Board Members and that there were no vacancies being filled. I stood down on my request for a reschedule. What happened next I found outrageous as the Directors convened their meeting and appointed two new Board members to fill vacancies beyond the minimum required. My objections to the Unelected were disregarded. Most outrageous was the reappointment of the Board Member who originated the dreadful Comcast Contract for Cable TV, hooking us up for harvesting like a crop. Then they all voted to raise the monthly fees again.
IS THIS OK WITH YOU OR DO YOU WANT TO RESCHEDULE THE MEMBERS MEETING?
PLEASE HELP ME GET OUR VOICES HEARD
LET YOUR BOARD MEMBERS KNOW THEY MUST BE ELECTED (I thought we did that last year.)
COME OUT AND VOTE! RUN FOR OFFICE!

I do not think these appointments are legitimate. The Board is allowed to appoint someone temporarily, when a vacancy occurs, to fill a vacancy until the next election, but it must not be used as a substitute for an election. What could they be thinking to do such a thing? Do they think you do not care? Do you?
Here are the extracts from the Bylaws that the Board appears to believe can replace an election.

Here is the extract of Bylaws Article VII. Section 1.D. that allows any Member to reschedule the Annual Meeting if there is no Quorum for the election.
Members should have a statement ready for the annual meeting, to reschedule it if there is no Quorum. This is done by stating that the Members Meeting will be Rescheduled (give specific time, date and place) and that the meeting is Adjourned. Perhaps there should be a standard one submitted at the beginning of every Annual Members Meeting
In the event there is no Quorum present for this [date] Annual Members Meeting, I call for a Rescheduling to one [time, date, place] and an adjournment. [name & date]
