There are three Boynton Beach Ordinances that pertain to your water meter, that you should be aware of: Meter Placement, Fees and Watering Restrictions.
This ordinance allows the Boynton Beach Utility Department to place a water meter.

Another ordinance of interest is on watering restrictions and what penalties may be involved for violations. Note under (g) Penalties that the fines are in the fee schedule that is under the authority of the City Commissioners. At this time there are no penalties listed. However, those may be set at any time, as a matter of routine done in October.
We would say that your i-PERL is not your friend. This ordinance is another reason to consider opting out.
